This is a video of dogs barking along to the song “Call Me Maybe,” and sort of acting out the music video. You’ve probably seen it by now because it has taken the Internet by adorable storm over the past 24 hours, but I wouldn’t be doing my job as the web’s premier whatever-the-hell-I’m-doing-here if I didn’t lead with it this week. And really, why wouldn’t I? It’s essentially the perfect web video. Pictures of dogs and “Call Me Maybe” parodies have been powering the Internet for a few weeks now, so putting them together is a no-brainer in terms of efficiency. I like to think it was created by a team of scientists with high-level government clearance in an underground facility called Pageviews Laboratory. Fine work, boys. Now get back to those Kate Upton GIFs.
I don’t want to tell people how to do their jobs, but an all-dog version of the video for “Feel So Good” by Mase would be a great follow-up. Dogs in shiny suits. Just sayin’.
