Joy Behar Will Leave ‘The View’ After 16 Years (And The Morning Links)

First of all, I had no idea that The View has been on for over 16 years, and secondly, neither did I know that Behar is only one of two original hosts (along with Barbara Walters). I know that you didn’t want to see a giant picture of her face this early in the morning, and I know you don’t watch The View, but we know about The View, so props to Behar for being one of the few voices of reason on that show (I think). She’s moving on to do her own interview show and explore other opportunities according to Deadline, and hopefully it turns out better for her than it did for Debbie Matenopoulos, who left in 2005 and was last seen as a guest on, er, Celebrity Ghost Stories. Let the jockeying to replace her begin. I hear that Matt Lauer may be looking for a job soon.
