Game of Thrones (HBO, Sunday 9 p.m.) — 03/31/13 has nearly arrived, folks. What can you expect from the third season? Just watch and find out. Do yourself a favor beforehand, though, and brush up on the past two seasons before you start the third.
The Walking Dead (AMC, Sunday 9 p.m.) — Woodbury vs. The Prison. Finally. FINALLY. And if you need refreshing, here’s 10 reasons why we hate The Governor so much. His death will be very satisfying, and then I’ll be said because there will be no more Governor.
Doctor Who (BBC America, Saturday 9 p.m.) — Hopefully, there are some of you who, like myself, are looking as forward to the spring premiere of Doctor Who as much as you are the return of Game of Thrones. Steven Moffat looks like he’s cooked up something great this half season, building a mystery around the new companion, the adorable Jenna Louise Coleman.
Orphan Black (BBC American, Saturday 10 p.m.) — Don’t forget to also check out this new original series from BBC America, a sci-fi mystery involving clones. So far, the reviews have been stellar, as if we needed another fantastic show to keep tabs on.
Happy Endings (ABC, Friday 8 p.m.) — DO NOT FORGET. Set your DVRs. If you’re a Nielsen family, stay home and watch. If you know a Nielsen family, kill them, take over their homes, and make sure that their televisions are tuned into Happy Endings tonight. It’s the only hope we have of saving the show. HUMANITY RESTS ON YOUR SHOULDERS, WARMING GLOW READERS.
Mr. Selfridge (PBS, Sunday 9 p.m.) — This period drama, the next series to attempt to wrestle away some of Downton Abbey’s popularity, stars Jeremy Piven as a guy who changes the way people shopped. If you have a spouse who insists on watching this before Game of Thrones on Sunday, divorce him/her.
There’s also NCAA basketball all weekend on CBS, so try not to get bedsores sitting on the couch for the next 72 hours. Happy Easter! And Happy Game of Thrones premiere!
