Bryan Fuller Wants A Very Famous Musician/Alien To Guest Star On ‘Hannibal’

Hm, ALF’s an alien. Is it ALF, Bryan Fuller? Please let it be ALF, Bryan Fuller.

Bryan Fuller is looking for a pretty big name to join Hannibal in Season 2. Zap2it can reveal that the Hannibal showrunner plans to reach out to David Bowie for a major role if NBC gives a second season the green light.

“I guess my dream casting for the show would be to cast David Bowie as Hannibal Lecter’s uncle,” Fuller tells Getty Images Entertainment. “If we get a second season I will reach out and see if there is any interest.” (Via)

Damn, it’s not ALF. Still, David Bowie’s a better choice than — UNPOPULAR OPINION ALERT — the guy from Alien Ant Farm, unless Fuller wants to set an entire episode in a tilted backyard wrestling ring. Then you gotta go with the Alien Ant Farm guy. According to Wikipedia, Hannibal was adopted by his “uncle [Count Robert Lecter] and his Japanese wife, Lady Murasaki” when he was 16 years old. Soon after, however, his uncle dies and Hannibal “forms a close, pseudo-romantic relationship with his step-aunt.” Because he’s a mess without his little Japanese girl.

Yep, still pretty racist.
