‘Our Forecasts Are Money, Put ‘Em In Your Purse': Never Change, Rapping Weatherman

By / 04.08.13

Everyone scream “HOLD MY CALLS” to no one in particular because I have important news that requires your immediate, undivided attention: The rapping weatherman is back!

For those of you who are not familiar with rhyming meteorologist Nick Kosir, first of all, shame on you, and second of all, here is a quick primer from his website:

Kosir first rapped the weather in July of 2009. His effort to spice up the monotonous Southeast Texas forecast turned him into an overnight YouTube sensation. By the time Kosir had rapped his fourth forecast, he was getting national attention from celebrities Ellen Degeneres and Ryan Seacrest. His raps have also made it to the homepage of AOL.com, Bing.com, MSN.com and others. Aside from making waves in the social media world, Kosir has been featured on TV shows across the nation, such as: FOX’s The O’Reilly Factor, MSNBC’s The Dylan Ratigan Show and Inside Edition. Kosir has also racked up six Press Club awards including best weather presentation and best light feature.

Anyway, Kosir is doing the weather in Idaho now. I bring this up because, while his writing and flow were a little clunky for a Southeast Texas rap community that brought us the likes of Scarface and UGK, I’ve got to believe the line “I make it rain, it’s not a light drizzle / My flow is on point… icicle” instantly makes him the illest MC in the greater Boise area.
