We’ve spent an awful lot of time lately talking about mythical creatures like zombies and dragons and shoot-first U.S. Marshals who repeatedly trek hours from their office to involve themselves in small-town, non-Marshal business, but it is almost summer now, and summer means one thing: A buncha sexy-ass vampires.
HBO has released the trailer for the sixth season of True Blood, which premieres June 16, and if you were wondering if everyone is still covered in blood and/or shirtless all the time, the answer is “Yes, definitely, a lot.” And if you were also wondering if the dialogue is still occasionally B-movie-esque in the most delightful way possible, allow me to present what may be the most True Blood sentence to date: “It’s time for the humans to bite back.”
How anyone could deliver that line without immediately pumping a shotgun or taking a long, dramatic pause in the middle to put on sunglasses, I’ll never understand.
