According to our friends at Okay Africa, all it took was a chance encounter on the streets of Brooklyn to provide one of the most brilliant and poignant videos that you’ll see this week, month and year (and probably ever). Michael K. Williams, AKA Omar Little from The Wire and Chalky White from Boardwalk Empire, was walking right behind them with his dogs – a surreal scene if I’ve ever imagined one – and after they declared their love for one of our favorite actors, they asked him to be the next subject in their incredible series, “The Roots Of…”
Williams joins ?uestlove and Black Thought, Q-Tip and Flying Lotus as the subjects of this emotional and revealing series, and the video is an absolute must-watch.
