A Brief And Necessary Tribute To ‘Chardee MacDennis: The Game Of Games’

I’ve been lucky enough to preview tomorrow night’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia episode — “The Gang Tries Desperately to Win an Award” — and it belongs in the Paddy’s Pantheon. Not only does the episode provide perfect commentary on Sunny’s seeming complete inability to even sniff a nomination for any sort of television award, but it’s also just really damn funny.

As the credits rolled I found myself thinking it was my favorite episode since “Chardee MacDennis: The Game of Games,” and since I don’t want to give away anything from tomorrow night, let’s instead celebrate one of the greatest Sunny episodes of all time with a brief and necessary tribute. First, a reminder of the levels:

Poor Dee is going to cry for a month straight after Level 3 again, isn’t she?

Why you have to nail down the board:

Before we get started, what is Charlie’s favorite board game again?

A show of sportsmanship

Let the festivities begin!

You flinch, you lose.

  SHUT. UP. DOG.

At this point you should just go re-watch the episode. Because it’s not just a game

See you guys on Thursday when we’ll discuss awards.
