I think one of the most telling things about the quality of this final season of Dexter is that the cast hasn’t even been out vocally supporting it, of late. Over on Breaking Bad, which is running its final season concurrently, Aaron Paul has been EVERYWHERE. In fact, last night, he live-tweeted the “Ozymandias” episode. What’s the Dexter cast doing on Twitter? Michael C. Hall doesn’t have a Twitter account, Jennifer Carpenter has made only one passing reference to the show since July (although, she sure did love Elysium), David Zayas hasn’t tweeted since last December, C.S. Lee’s tweets are now protected, and Desmond Harrington doesn’t tweet. The most Twitter support the show has gotten from the cast has been from Yvonne Strahovski, who hasn’t really given it that much support, either. It’s been mostly crickets from the cast since the season began, and who can blame them? Even the biggest fans of the show have turned against it, and I doubt the cast wants to come out and defend this season.
At this point, the only way to salvage the season is if Dexter kills Bieber, but even then, everyone would say that Breaking Bad already did it.
Still, for unintentional comedy purposes, it has been a surprisingly fun season, especially if you’re drinking the pain away. Over on Reddit, they’re having a goddamn blast.
Here’s a few of the more amusing reactions to last night’s episode, and the season as a whole.

They can’t even get the little things right this season. These two shots were of the same time period (like, seconds apart), and yet it is still light in one, and dark in the other (via Reddit)
If you look closely, you can see that Dexter is holding his phone upside down (via Reddit).
This, however, is my favorite (SPOILERS FOR SEASON 2 OF BREAKING BAD) (via Reddit)
