What’s On Tonight: The Sixth Season Premiere Of ‘Sons Of Anarchy’

Sons of Anarchy (FX, 10 p.m.) — SIXTH SEASON PREMIERE. We’ve been warned for the last few weeks to expect some MAJOR SHOCKING CONTROVERSIAL violence in the season premiere. Kurt Sutter has a hard time following up on plotlines, but he never fails to follow through on violence (see, e.g., the 10 Most Violent Moments from the Series).

Suits (USA Network, 10 p.m.) — I thought that last week’s episode was the season finale. It had the feel of a season finale. With Caitlyn Stark’s storyline finished, what’s left? There’s two episodes remaining, so I guess we’ll find out. I assume they have unfinished business with Varys or something.

Tosh.O (Comedy Central, 10 p.m.) — In tonight’s episode, Daniel Tosh “gives words of wisdom to America’s youth.” This is why I’m terrified for the future of America.

Amish Mafia (Discovery, 9 p.m.) — So, there’s this Amish reality show, and there’s also Breaking Amish on TLC. Is there really a big enough audience to support TWO Amish reality shows?

So You Think You Can Dance (Fox, 8 p.m.) — SEASON FINALE. I don’t really care about this show, but it being the season finale means that New Girl returns next week, so I’ll finally have more than Suits and now Sons to talk about in What’s On Tonight.

LATE NIGHT LISTINGS: Billy Crystal is on Dave; Rose Byrne appears on The Tonight Show; Kimmel has Simon Cowell for some reason; Anna Faris is on Ferguson; David Cross stops by Jimmy Fallon’s The Late Show; and Simon Pegg will be on Conan.
