Hot off their win for Outstanding Animated Program at the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy ceremony yesterday, the foul-mouthed kids of South Park are back for their 17th season next Wednesday, September 25th. And in case you were wondering if Trey Parker and Matt Stone plan to uphold their reputations for incredibly timely and sometimes “too soon” satire, the season teaser video posted by Comedy Central a few hours ago answers that question with a big, fat, “DUH.”
Promising to “Go there,” South Park will presumably take on the George Zimmerman trial, Syria, Edward Snowden and Miley Cyrus’ VMA performance, and all I can think of is how that last one will hopefully put the Paris Hilton episode to shame.
