Just a week an Albuquerque newspaper ran an obituary of Walter White, the grieving process continues for fans of AMC’s Breaking Bad. This weekend, an Albuquerque steak-house will hold a funeral for Walter White, who died of a gunshot wound in the place he loved: A meth lab.
From The Detroit Free Press:
Vernon’s Hidden Valley Steakhouse says it will hold the make-believe service for White, who was killed in the September series finale.
Services will take place at Sunset Memorial Park at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, with Breaking Bad set decorator Michael Flowers delivering the eulogy. A Saturday night reception will follow.
But fans will have to pay to attend. And all proceeds will go to a special endowment that will fund substance abuse prevention programs in Albuquerque.
Tickets are priced as little as $20, or you can pay $5,000, a figure that will get your name on Walter White’s tombstone. Afterwards, I suspect his ashes will be spread where they belong: In To’hajiilee. Next week, presumably, there will be a reading of the will.
