The ‘Duck Dynasty’ Guys Released A Christmas Album Today In Case You’re Feeling Festive

Lost in all the hoopla of today’s new album releases by Arcade Fire, Kelly Clarkson and, naturally, Toxic Holocaust is the release of perhaps the most important album of the year – “Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas.” The Robertsons in question are the very same from the massively popular reality series Duck Dynasty, hence the clever play on words right there in the name of the album.

Over on the Duck the Halls website, the Robertsons and Co. have been posting a series of webisodes for “A Robertson Family Christmas Story,” and it’s all about how they traveled to Nashville to start producing their very first album. If you’re familiar with Duck Dynasty, then you’ll know that the webisode involves the brothers competing over every little aspect of the making of this album, but the result includes the following track list:

And here’s the album teaser that offers a little insight into the recording process.

I don’t know about you guys, but “Like Jesus and Santa Claus, we’ve got love beneath these beards. Wishin’ you a hairy Christmas and a happy, happy, happy New Year” might be the greatest Christmas song lyric I’ve ever heard.
