Tina Fey And Amy Poehler Will Host The Golden Globes Again In 2014 And 2015

TINA FEY. AMY POEHLER. GOLDEN GLOBES. BACK. TWO YEARS. DIG IT.

“Tina and Amy are two of the most talented comedic writer/performers in our business, and they were a major reason the Golden Globes was the most entertaining awards show of last season,” said NBC president of alternative and late night programming Paul Telegdy. “We’re elated they wanted to host together again and that they committed for the next two years.” […]

“We are thrilled Amy and Tina have decided to return as hosts of the Golden Globe Awards for the next two years,” said HFPA president Theo Kingma. “Their return ensures that the Golden Globes will once again be the biggest, best and most entertaining awards celebration of the year.” [THR]

Just to clarify: Even though the THR headline for this story is “Tina Fey, Amy Poehler to Host Golden Globes for Next Two Years,” they will just be hosting two separate ceremonies, one in 2014 and one in 2015, not a single continuous awards show that lasts over 17,000 hours. I mean, don’t get me wrong, if anyone could pull that off it would be Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, but that’s just too long. You’d have to constantly update the In Memoriam throughout the show as more famous people died, possibly right there in the audience. No, this way is definitely better.
