What’s On Tonight: ‘Burning Love’ And Its Comedy Nerd Heaven Cast Are Back For Season Two On E!

Burning Love (E!, 10:30 p.m.) – Second season TV premiere. It’s so weird that E! is the network that runs this web series. Between the cast Ken Marino assembled — Michael Ian Black, June Diane Raphael, Adam Scott, Paul Scheer, Rob Heubel, Nick Kroll, Colin Hanks, Ryan Hansen, and Michael Cera, among others — and the faux-dating-show subject matter, it feels more like a series that belongs on Adult Swim in the middle of the night. This show and The Soup are E!’s equivalent of the warning label tobacco companies have to put on boxes of cigarettes.

Arrow (The CW, 8:00 p.m.) – From TV Guide: “Moira’s lawyer tells Thea that dating a known criminal is hurting her mom’s case.” Well, yeah.

Top Chef (Bravo, 9:00 p.m.) – The chefs work a pot luck dinner for New Orleans jazz musician Kermit Ruffins. That is a fake name. I guarantee it.

South Park/Key & Peele (Comedy Central, 10-11:00 p.m.) – Tonight’s South Park deals with holiday shopping. Meanwhile, Key & Peele are making a movie with Judd Apatow, and appearing as guests on The Daily Show tonight. Everything seems to be on the up and up here. Moving along.

The League (FXX, 10:00 p.m.) – The League moves up 30 minutes in It’s Always Sunny‘s absence, and will guest star Victoria’s Secret supermodel Erin Heatherton as Ellie’s basketball coach. There are not enough supermodels coaching youth basketball. I’ve always said this.

American Horror Story: Coven (FX, 10:00 p.m.) – Full description of tonight’s episode: “Zoe, Queenie, and Nan contact a trapped spirit.” What if that’s all they do for the full hour?

LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Ray Romano and Eddie Cibrian on Kimmel; Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Matthews on Letterman; Kaley Cuoco on Ferguson; Bill Cosby and Chris Pratt on Leno; Ice-T and Thomas Rhett on Fallon; and Will Arnett, Jim Gaffigan, and M.I.A. are on Conan.
