What’s On Tonight: Our Sweeps Stunt Wish List For The Penultimate Night Of November Sweeps

It’s the second-to-last day of November sweeps, but the networks aren’t really burning off first-runs tomorrow because it’s a travel day, so get your television fix in tonight because there’s nothing but football and reality-show marathons until Sunday, not that there’s anything wrong with that. Note, too, that Sons of Anarchy will not air a new episode tonight. It will return next Tuesday.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Fox, 8:30 p.m.) — Peralta is thankful for a robbery excusing him from having to attend Thanksgiving dinner. SWEEPS STUNT WISH: We find out that Captain Holt’s lover is Richard Belzer’s John Munch.

New Girl (Fox, 9 p.m.) — The gang goes on a Thanksgiving camping trip, and Cece and Winston bond over their shared hatred of the outdoors. SWEEPS STUNT WISH: Schmidt finally gets a decent subplot tonight.

Agents of SHIELD — A secret from May’s past may be the key to saving the team from being destroyed by a mysterious force. SWEEPS STUNT WISH: The mysterious force destroys everyone except May and Agent Coulson.

The Mindy Project (Fox, 9:30 p.m.) — Danny’s younger brother pays a visit and a has a big announcement to make. SWEEPS STUNT WISH: Danny’s brother is played by James Van Der Beek and his big announcement is that he’s replacing Mindy, the weakest character on her own show. Henceforth, the show will be called “The Beek’s Project.”

Dancing with the Stars (ABC, 9:01 p.m.) — 17th SEASON FINALE. SWEEPS STUNT WISH: That it’s the last season finale.

Supernatural (CW, 9 p.m.) — Sheriff Mills asks Sam and Dean to help her investigate the murders of four members of a church chastity group. Dean disappears shortly after the brothers join the group. SWEEPS STUNT WISH: Sam and Dean develop allergies to shirts (for the ladies).

LATE NIGHT LISTINGS: Martha Stewart is on Letterman; Quentin Tarantino is on Leno; Jimmy Kimmel has Casey Affleck; Angela Kinsey will be on Ferguson; and Josh Hutcherson continues his rounds, appearing on Fallon;
