Alpha House (Anytime, Amazon Prime) — Anyone can watch the first three episodes of the John Goodman series (about a bunch of Congressman who room together), but you have to be a Prime member to watch anymore than that. This morning, episode six of both Alpha House and Amazon’s other series, Betas were released. My advice: Skip them both, and watch Hulu’s The Wrong Mans instead.
Raising Hope (Fox, Friday 9 p.m.) — WATCH THIS SHOW IT IS SO GOOD. A couple of weeks ago, there was an episode where Garret Dillahunt’s character got a colonoscopy, and it was the hardest I have laughed since Jerry Gergich’s fart-attack on Parks and Recreation. Bonus: When Dillahunt’s character woke up from the procedure, he delivered one of his lines from Deadwood.
Comedy Bang! Bang! — (IFC, Friday 10 p.m.) — With Jason Schwartzman, so put on your beanie cap before viewing.
Grimm/Dracula (NBC, Friday 8 p.m.) — These are shows that I do not watch because I would rather watching Raising Hope but some people do watch them, and maybe you are one of them. I hear that NBC is working on a werewolf show to add to the Friday night lineup, which seems like overkill to me.
Saturday Night Live (NBC, Saturday 11:30 p.m.) — Paul Rudd will be on, which reminds me: Have you seen the junket interview where he and Jason Segal are baked out of their minds and can’t stop giggling?
Sunday Night Football (NBC, Sunday 8:20 p.m.) — Those of you who drafted Drew Brees in your fantasy football teams and coasted into the playoffs have got to be feeling pretty shaky about the fact that he’s facing the Panthers two of the next three games. You are so screwed.
Homeland (Showtime, Sunday 9 p.m.) — In this week’s episode of Homeland, Brody is shot 58 times in the chest, miraculously lives, and is put back out into the field three days later after he’s rehabilitated by a musical montage (what I’m saying is, Homeland has gotten ridiculous).
