Things Are Just Going Swimmingly At The Golden Globes

Well that’s not going to be good for anyone. It seems that a sewage pipe burst onto the red carpet at the Golden Globes, flooding the area with a wonderful mixture of wet grossness. It’s a cynic’s dream come true. From The Hollywood Reporter:

Around 12:20 p.m. PT, lights set off an alarm system that sprayed black sewage and water on various cameras and the red carpet. The spill was attended to after approximately 15 minutes. The Beverly Hills Fire Department then used air blowers and wet vacuums to rid the scene of the unsightly spill — and smell.

“A pipe has appeared to totally bust and there is water gushing, literally everywhere in the position of where all of the international press – everyone has moved out of the way,” said Catt Sadler during E! Countdown to the Red Carpet. “Rain was not expected in LA today, but we’ve got a little flooding!”

There’s plenty of evidence of the flooding all around, but we go to Ryan Seacrest for the most damning coverage. Why you ask? Because he has the most to lose being a small fella.

“Could be bad for long gowns” is the first thing I would think of when surrounded by sh*tty water. It’s why you earn the big money and I’m reusing grocery bags for shoes.
