Jimmy Fallon induced an overload of nostalgia last night when he enlisted John Moschitta Jr. (better known as The Micro Machines Man) to summarize this year’s Best Picture nominees in less than a minute.
Moschitta is best known for being in The Guinness Book of World Records as the World’s Fastest Talker and leveraging that title to land over 100 commercials for Micro Machines. In the 1980s you couldn’t watch Saturday morning cartoons or Nickelodeon without being mesmerized by gems like these:
Moshitta also starred in this famous 1981 ad for FedEx, which landed several Clio awards (including Best Performance–Male for Moschitta).
