Leslie/Saracan > Ann/Riggins.

Anyway. Between the Friday Night Lights references, Andy reading Highlights (or a Highlights knockoff with the rights to Goofus and Gallant), and Larry tooting, “Galentine’s Day” was basically written for me. You’re welcome, everyone. It was my favorite episode of Parks in not only awhile, but maybe even of the season: “Galentine’s Day” had that relaxed, fun, easy vibe that the show is so great at, when it’s not bogged down by Leslie Knope life decisions and baby drama. The highest stakes in the episode were whether Andy would get his tooth fixed after falling at the playground and if Ben and Tom could rent a tent from the sleazy Ace Tentura: Tent Detective owner played by Rob Heubel. It was low key, but HIlarious.

(I’m really pulling for that to be my commercial pull quote.)

Every character got a great moment, from Donna’s devotion to all things Scandal to Ben sticking up for Larry to everything Shauna Mulwae-Tweep, and the jokes came naturally and easily. How easily? As easily as knowing that Saracen is EASILY better than Riggins.
