The way things work on late-night shows are someone who isn’t the host asks that night’s guest about any interesting anecdotes they might have. They’re usually pegged to whatever the celebrity is hawking, be it a movie, an album, or a TV show, though sometimes, the guest is entertaining enough that he or she can talk about whatever they want. In the case of Internet hero/art show inspiration Nicolas Cage, who appeared on last night’s Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, he was there to discuss Joe, his new film with director David Gordon Green, but then he went off on a tangent about a bandicoot sneaking into his hotel room and biting him on the ankle. It’s pretty much the MOST Nic Cage story of all-time, because that bandicoot later went on to…STEAL THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE.
