Watch A Chinese PSA Featuring A Graffiti-Loving Panda Pissing On A Bridge

Terrific news out of China today, as a creative agency has created a PSA that features a man dressed in a giant panda costume pissing on a bridge in Australia. “Why is a man in a panda costume simulating public urination in Australia for a public service announcement?” you ask. Excellent question. The answer is, obviously, because tourism.

The ad, developed by creative agency DDB China, shows the pandas sleeping on benches, spray painting palm trees and littering. It was described as a “philanthropic piece” reminding Chinese travelers not to forget that “the whole world is watching us”. [Shanghaiist]

According to Shanghaiist, this video is the director’s cut of the PSA, which never aired on Chinese television. A shorter version, containing everything except the pissing scene, aired briefly but has since been pulled from the airwaves, presumably because they cut out the best part. But none of that is particularly important, because it exists, and it’s on the Internet, and we can all just see it now by clicking play. The pissing giant panda is already out of the bag, if you will.

Anyway, with any luck, this will become, like, a thing, and some enterprising American creative agency will slap together one featuring a bald eagle pooping on the Louvre. Because, again, tourism.
