How Nick Offerman Announced His New Netflix Special Is Classic Nick Offerman

Nick Offerman is one of America’s greatest treasures. He’s imparted great wisdom to us courtesy of his Parks and Rec alter-ego Ron Swanson, he’s fighting for men’s rights with his anti-manscaping campaign, and his marriage to Megan Mullally makes us all slightly uncomfortable yet insanely jealous. So the news that his new comedy special Nick Offerman: American Ham finally got its Netflix premiere date is definitely something to celebrate.

The special, which was filmed in March of last year will premiere Friday, Dec. 12 in the U.S., U.K. and Canada and is apparently a “master class in life, love, woodworking, meat-eating and being a man.” Here’s the official description:

Fed up with abject failure? Lack of meat, cash, or fornication got you down? Refuel yourself with Nick Offerman’s 10 tips for prosperity in his chuckle-licious humor program, American Ham. Mediocre songs, ribald japes, and minor nudity guaranteed.

But perhaps the best thing about the actor’s new special is how Offerman chose to announce its Netflix debut. (Spoiler: It involves a beautiful piece of hand crafted wood art.)
