Nick Offerman confirmed last night on The Tonight Show that the final day of shooting Parks and Recreation was a sad day indeed. He told Jimmy Fallon that when Mike Schur called the final final wrap, everybody was crying their faces off. Offerman himself, on the other hand, says he was vomiting and crying, and filling his pants with “the saddest oatmeal.”
While filming the final episode, Offerman says he and Aziz Ansari flipped through the script and realized they did not have any more lines left left on Parks and Recreation, so they pulled a stunt to squeeze in the last lines of the series. While they might not be the most tremendously exciting last lines, it’ll be fun to look out for them in the finale, if I’m not also making the saddest oatmeal in my pants at that point.
