Bobby Moynihan’s proven himself to be one of Saturday Night Live’s strongest cast members since he joined the show in 2008 and can be counted on to elevate any sketch he appears in. He’s one of those comedic actors who doesn’t even need to deliver a line, but can elicit a laugh from the crowd simply by looking in the camera like in the recurring teen talk show sketch, “What Are You Even Doing Here.”
Today is Bobby Moynihan’s 38th birthday, so it only makes sense to look back at some of his finest work on SNL and the characters and impressions that he’s made his own.
Ass Dan — We never really get to know Ass Dan or his identical twin and equally obnoxious brother, Butt Dave, but it’s probably better that way. R.I.P., Ass Dan you’ll always live forever on the internet.
Drunk Uncle — Probably Moynihan’s most popular character, Drunk Uncle might be slightly racist/sexist when inebriated — and probably sober if we’re being honest — but he’s always welcomed sight at the Weekend Update desk.

Snooki — Moynihan’s Snooki was so good, it almost makes me wish the real Snooki would do something stupid to put herself back in the news so he’d have an excuse to roll it back out. Almost.

Chris Christie — Bobby Moynihan’s already been on SNL for 7 years, so unless he tries to break Darrell Hammond’s record, his time on the show is probably winding down. If Chris Christie does decide to make a run for president, however, Moynihan should be a lock on the show for at least another several years. Fingers crossed.
Retail Employee Niff — I feel sorry for any customer or employee that has to work alongside Niff. Even if Niff’s fellow coworkers are just a bunch of b*tches.

Guy Fieri — Moynihan’s Guy Fieri impression is always solid round of laughs when he brings the character to the Weekend Update desk, but it hits another level when the flavortown circus is presented as a Christmas special.

Anthony Crispino — Anthony Crispino might never get the news right, or even close to being right, but his secondhand reports have proven popular enough to sit alongside three Weekend Update anchor incarnations: Seth Meyers, Colin Jost and Cecily Strong, and Colin Jost and Michael Che.
Kirby the Astronaut — If had the choice of being stuck on a spaceship with Kirby or the alien from Alien, I’d probably choose the alien. Yes, I’d probably end up with its spawn bursting out of my stomach, but at least I wouldn’t have to hear about Kirby’s wittle kitty cat.
Mark Payne — Bobby Moynihan revealed that he spent nine years working at an UNO’s Pizzeria before landing SNL, so it’s probably safe to presume he worked with a few Mark Payne’s while there.
