Geek extraordinaire Patton Oswalt proved his worth as fandom’s best storyteller on The Tonight Show last night. Highlights included midnight screenings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show with a Gandalf-The Dude mashup and Oswalt’s nervousness about performing at Carnegie Hall.
But the best part was Jimmy Fallon interrogating Oswalt about the jacket photo for his new book, Silver Screen Fiend. The host thought it looked more like a selfie than a professional photo, and wondered if Oswalt submitted it at the last minute. According to Oswalt, that’s exactly what happened. Such procrastination comes as no surprise to those familiar with the hand-drawn cover of Zombie Spaceship Wasteland.
