What’s On Tonight: ‘Gotham’ And ‘Sleepy Hollow’ Are Back

Gotham (Fox, 8:00 p.m.) — After enduring TV purgatory for the last few weeks we’re finally being rewarded for our suffering — and if you think watching Bravo reality shows and Antiques Roadshow reruns isn’t suffering, you’re wrong — with new episodes of some pretty good shows from Fox. First up is Gotham which comes back from its mid season finale with a murder mystery at Arkham and Cobblepot continuing to build his army. Oh and Morena Baccarin is guest starring so bring on the nostalgic, Joss Whedon Firefly feels.

Sleepy Hollow (Fox, 9:00 p.m.) — Abbie and Ichabod deal with an apocalyptic-sized hangover as they try to recover from their battle with Moloch. (Good riddance to that guy, am I right?) Meanwhile Katrina just can’t give it a rest when it comes to saving Abraham. Just because the guy didn’t follow through with a demon’s plan to murder you doesn’t mean he’s suddenly turned a new leaf lady.

The Bachelor (ABC, 8:00 p.m.) — If Fox is actually bringing back the shows we care about, you can count on ABC to bring back the one’s we wish would die a slow, painful death and never air again. Yes, I’m talking about The Bachelor. In the Season 19 premiere, Farmer Chris is looking for love and what better way to get it than to pit 30 desperate women against each other, film their cat fights and emotional breakdowns on national television and then have them go on elaborate, expensive, completely unrealistic dates with a relative stranger who’ll reward them with a rose (yes, singular) depending on what base they let him reach during said dates. You know, now that I think about it, I have no clue why Bachelor couples never stay together.

The Celebrity Apprentice (NBC, 8:00 p.m.) — Another reality competition show we’d all be better off without airs tonight with the handful of washed-up D-listers attempting to write, produce and direct a commercial. I’m assuming at some point Donald Trump and his toupee will indeed fire someone.

Mike & Molly (CBS, 8:30 p.m.) — Mike and the family get pissed when Molly dedicates more time to her book writing than she does to them. Obviously Molly hasn’t been clued into the fact that a wife’s job is to cook, clean and constantly wait on other people, not pursue her own career. Sheesh, selfish.

Scorpion (CBS, 9:00 p.m.) — In what may be the best PSA for parents to actually start paying attention to what their children do on the internet, Ralph’s dark Web game play ends up revealing the location of a CIA safe house resulting in the murders of a few CIA agents. Those parental locks are there for a reason, Paige.

State of Affairs (NBC, 10:00 p.m.) — When photos of national landmarks featuring a mysterious Arabic symbol surface, the team has to work hard to uncover the latest terrorist plot. This episode will probably feature some kind of torture interrogation tactics, President Payton making difficult, presidential decisions, and Katherine Heigl doing badass sh*t.

LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Bradley Cooper and Harry Connick Jr. on Fallon; Anne Hathaway on Kimmel; Courteney Cox and Donald Faison on Conan; Kathy Griffin and David Oyelowo on Letterman; and Anna Kendrick and Martha Stewart on Meyers.
