NBC used last night’s Super Bowl as a platform to cooperate with our Illuminati overlords, but also to promote the hell out of SNL‘s 40th anniversary special (look at all these promo videos!), which airs February 15th. We already know Eddie Murphy will return for the first time in 30 years, and it’s assumed Kristen Wiig and Fred Armisen will be there, too, because of course they will.
But now we also have a better idea of the full lineup, which will include former cast members Tina Fey, Bill Murray, Amy Poehler, Chevy Chase, Adam Sandler, Jane Curtin, Laraine Newman, and noted hosts and guest stars Tom Hanks, Jon Hamm, Justin Timberlake, Emma Stone, Jack Nicholson, and about 900 other favorites. The only question that remains is: how many “The Californians” can Lorne cram into the episode? At least five, I bet.
