‘Parks And Recreation’ Goes Out With Its Most Watched Episode Since 2012

Last night, Parks and Recreation ended its seven-season run with one of the most beloved series finales of recent memory. But it turns out that not only was the final episode beloved, it was also the series’ most watched since 2012.

The Amy Poehler sitcom hauled in its most viewers (4.271 million) since January 2012, when the show followed 30 Rock. Parks‘ 1.6 rating in the advertiser-sought 18-49 demographic is the show’s highest since May 2013, and is up 45 percent from last week’s episode. (via The Wrap)

When it comes to series finales, sometimes your show goes out with a whimper in its final days (as is usually the case today), but then sometimes your show goes out with a bang because you’ve made your final moments an event not to be missed. In the case of Parks & Rec, the case was most certainly the latter.
