Ranking The Best Secondary Characters On ‘Bob’s Burgers’

In its five seasons on the air, Bob’s Burgers has created a glorious array of colorful characters. So, which of the secondary characters is the greatest of all? Let’s investigate this further. No, Randy Marsh is not No. 1.

12. Dr. Yap

We begin with everyone’s favorite guitar-playing pickup artist dentist. Dr. Yap tries way too hard to be cool, but he still seems like a decent guy at heart, so we love him anyway.

11. Jimmy Jr.

I don’t love Jimmy Jr. quite as much as Tina does, but he still deserves a spot here. His dance moves have brought joy to millions, but he might be a bit disappointed that his brothers are ranked a little higher on this countdown.

10. Mort

The owner of It’s Your Funeral, which sits right next to Bob’s, also happens to be one of his best customers. There aren’t too many episodes that focus on Mort, but his terrible toupee and continued patronage at Bob’s make him more than worthy of a mention here.

9. Mr. Fischoeder

Played by Kevin Kline, Mr. Fischoeder can be a bit eccentric at times, but as we found out last season, he’s a lot easier to deal with than his brother. Plus, he’s been very patient during all those times the Belchers were late with their rent, which should be good for something.

8. Gayle

Linda’s cat-loving sister (who’s also a big fan of Boyz4Now) deserves some love here. Who could forget when she serenaded her high-school sweetheart with the line, “Won’t you enter my Acropolis and make my yogurt Greek?”

7. Mr. Frond

Anyone who’s ever dealt with an irritating, wimpy authority figure can relate to Mr. Frond. Plus, who can forget his reaction to Tina’s story about him:

I LOCKED MYSELF. IN A ROOM. WHILE CHILDREN WERE BEING EATEN!

6-5. Andy and Ollie

Everyone’s favorite pair of hyper-active twins! As Mr. frond learned the hard way, do not separate these two on a field trip.

4. Teddy

He’s Bob’s most loyal customer and one of the show’s more durable characters. The kids might find him boring (in a recent episode, Louise wrote a story where he could literally bore people to death), but I find his stories fascinating. Plus, he visits Bob’s every day, which has surely helped get the restaurant through some of its slower periods.

3. Tammy

She gave us the phrase, “Don’t be such a boob-punch,” which I use at least once a day. Need I say more? Plus, she’s voiced by Jenny Slate, who is awesome.

2. Regular-Size Rudy

“Why do they call you that?”

“Just look at me.”

Sure, Rudy can’t do too much if he doesn’t have his inhaler. But he still manages to have a great time. Plus, he’s aware of Kate Bush, which is more than you can say for most elementary school students.

Also, he’s skinny Bobby Hill.

1. Zeke

I think we’ve all needed a Zeke fix at some point. He gets the top spot, and honestly, it wasn’t even close. He brings his energy and exuberance to every episode he’s in. Also, he’s a dork for boobs. Who can’t relate to that?
