NBC Is Going To Air A Live Episode Of ‘Undateable’ In May

Every couple of years, a sitcom decides to harken back to the old days of live airings for half-hour comedies. One recent example of this trend was the live episodes of 30 Rock. So, given that, it’s not surprising NBC has become interested in trying the experiment again, this time with its sleeper hit Undateable.

From EW:

The NBC sitcom will air a special one-hour live episode on Tuesday, May 5 at 9 p.m., with two separate productions for the East Coast and West Coast.

While plot details are scarce, executive producer Bill Lawrence confirmed there would be a “musical component with big guest stars.” Could that mean a collaboration with star Chris D’Elia’s good and recently roasted friend Justin Bieber? The new season of Undateable begins tomorrow with a current order of 10 episodes.
