Derek, the British series created by and starring Ricky Gervais — for which he received both Emmy and Golden Globe nominations — is coming back for a final, hour-long special which Netflix will stream starting April 3, which aired in the UK in December of 2014. In the above trailer, it looks like Tom and Hannah will be getting married, while Derek’s relationship with the girl he met in the series finale continues to flourish, and Kev lands himself in the hospital for some reason.
The series that debuted to much controversy for supposedly poking fun at the mentally disabled actually turned about to be a sweet, poignant series that made me cry (like, seriously cry) far more than it made me laugh, so here’s hoping it gets the nice send off it deserves.
