The Late Late Show with James Corden just set off the klaxon in my drawing room which sounds whenever a ’90s TV star talks about gay porn. The guest — Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek — talked to host James Corden and guest Josh Gad about that time almost 15 years ago when he got picked for a random search at an airport, and he just so happened to have recently purchased a gay porn DVD based on Dawson’s Creek, perched fortuitously atop his clothes so it was the first thing that the TSA saw. The film was called Dawson’s Crack, and up until five minutes ago, I could have sworn it was not a Dawson’s Creek parody, but rather a prequel to Dawson’s 20 Load Weekend. Well, color me embarrassed.
The CSI: Cyber star then talked about his first kiss, which took place in a handicapped bathroom with the girl who played Frenchy in a student performance of Grease. Pretty sure there’s a Tom Waits song with the same storyline.
