There Were Some Big Changes On This Week’s ‘Mad Men’

This week’s Mad Men saw some big changes to SC&P, and possibly the direction of the show as a whole.

The partners found out that McCann will probably swallow them up.

They reacted as they usually do.

Well, they tried to gather clients for a West Coast move, but Jim Hobart nixed that.

Both with a whisper…

… and a certain finality.

And the partners reacted as they usually do.

Also, Lou Avery may not be eaten by the locals (or bears), but just think of the potential for death by Godzilla!

The episode also marked possible changes to the direction of the series as a whole.

Like when the future was once bright.

Now, not so much.

We’ve gone from rooting for Pete getting punched…

… to, cheering for him?

Even the office accidents have been toned down.

Maybe this is the beginning of the end. Maybe this was an excuse to repost some old favorites. In any case, who knows what will await us in the coming weeks?
