Howard Stern is certainly one of the most memorable guests in the history of David Letterman’s show. We’ve been over his notable moments in the past and he’s usually on to deliver a few good jabs. Tonight he provided a final moment while complaining about his non-invitation to dinner with the departing host and guest Don Rickles.
He got Letterman to walk out to “the spot” in front of the audience to give him a big hug, and launched in to swallow him up for an attempted kiss. I’m liking this retirement parade for Letterman in these past few weeks. I look forward to Colbert’s version of the show, but this whole run will rank right up with Carson’s retirement.
