After extensive negotiations with its voice cast, Fox has finally renewed The Simpsons for another two seasons. According to THR, the renewal will guarantee new episodes of the long running TV hit through to its 28th season.
The early pickup guarantees the animated series will hit a mind boggling total of 625 episodes! This news also means there will be no interruption to the show’s production process, thereby streamlining the new content to TV on schedule.
The Simpsons is currently in its 26th season and averages a total of 6.2 million viewers per episode.
