Here’s A Rundown Of The TV Shows That Were Canceled Today

It would seem that the bells tolled for many shows across network television today, sending them to that programming lot in the sky or possibly to a streaming service for a second chance. A few, like Backstrom or The Following on Fox, were sure to be canceled once their ratings started to fall. Others had a lot of buzz, like Battle Creek on CBS, but couldn’t hold onto it once the series got moving. And the final few, namely Constantine, were teases that finally ended up being put out of their misery.

Others canceled today seem to fall in line with where networks are attempting to go in their broadcast future. NBC hacked their remaining comedies from the schedule, canceling About A Boy, Marry Me, and One Big Happy. Deadline points out that this leaves Undateable as the only sitcom left on NBC at the end of this 2014/2015 season. The network also canceled State Of Affairs starring Katherine Heigl, but that’s not much of a shock.

Here’s a full rundown of what has been canceled in the past few days, including today’s additions. None of them are truly surprising, except for maybe David Shore’s canceled Battle Creek, but fans will no doubt be hoping for someone to step in for a rescue for some a la The Mindy Project:
