Maybe you still need some convincing when it comes to finally joining the masses and watching Breaking Bad. Or maybe you’re about to start yet another re-watch of the critically acclaimed AMC series. Either way, allow us to show you some of the key (mostly spoiler free) moments from Breaking Bad’s fourth season, just as we’ve done with the first, second and third seasons.
Maniacal laughter is healthy
At times, Walter White feels like he has the weight of the entire world on his shoulders. That’s more than any man can handle, unless you’re a Greek Titan named Atlas. Understandably so, Walt occasionally cracked under the pressure in displays like the scene above.
“I am the one who knocks!”
With great power comes… an insanely large ego. As he gained more influence through his drug business, Walter’s entitlement complex started to show more and more. He even started to go on super-villain monologues.
Cycles of the car wash
Things in life often come full circle. In Breaking Bad, Walt eventually ended up in the same car wash he stormed out of in the first season after working there part-time to earn some extra cash.
Pulling the rug out from underneath
Breaking Bad would often take unexpected turns without a moment’s notice. This often included characters doing the very last thing that you’d expect. In this scene, Ted Beneke learns a lesson about watching your step, especially when running.
Downsizing the mini-van
What’s the point of having all of this money if you can’t enjoy it? Some would argue discretion, but those people aren’t Walter White. In this scene, he takes his son, Walter, Jr., to get a new family car, and after getting the feeling like it isn’t enough, he immediately buys a second one right after.
Heisenberg vs. Pinkman… again
A running theme in Breaking Bad is the relationship between Walt and Jesse. Their partnership sometimes looks more like a friendship, and they appear to be bitter rivals at other times. In this scene, the two actually come to blows.
An unlikely partnership
Who would’ve thought that one of the most capable characters in the show and one of the least capable characters would come together for what appears to be an entire afternoon of running errands. Is the old dog trying to teach the young pup some new tricks? More importantly, will they stick?
Hector “Tio” Salamanca
A character that made regular appearances in Breaking Bad since its early seasons was Hector “Tio” Salamanca; a former drug dealer that’s been restricted to using a wheelchair to get around and a bell to communicate. But he’s still just as sharp as he always was and uses his cunning to be a player in the game.
Heading into Season 5
There’s a lot of debate about whether Walt actually turned the corner and became a villain. But what many can agree on is that he was already there by the time Season 5 started. The final season of Breaking Bad is meant to wrap up all of the suspense that had been building up over the previous four and leave fans with a sense of closure.
