Mae Whitman is an unabashed Gilmore Girls fan.
Not that there’s anything to be embarrassed about: It was a great show, and the cast remains a delight. The Arrested Development star worked with Lauren Graham for six seasons on Parenthood, and I imagine the only time she stopped asking her about Gilmore Girls was when she was bugging Minka Kelly, Michael B. Jordan, and Matt Lauria about Friday Night Lights (she silently walked away whenever Craig T. Nelson started telling Coach anecdotes).
So, Whitman was obviously at this weekend’s ATX Television Festival for the Gilmore Girls reunion (in the town where much of FNL was filmed). It was a dream come true for her, especially when she participated in a Dawson’s Creek live-read, but ESPECIALLY when this happened.
