While visiting his good friend Seth Meyers to promote Staten Island Summer, Colin Jost noted that he had an affinity for one Donald Trump. While he’s not “pro-Trump,” Jost explained that he felt “when you grow up in New York, on some level, you like Donald Trump. Even if you’re like, ‘Oh, I hate Trump,’ you’re like ‘Yeah, but you love him.’ He’s like the New York Post or something. If you don’t love the Post, why do you live in New York City?”

While the Bane comparisons might not help his case, I can understand irrationally liking something from your place of birth. Me, and just about anyone who has a favorite sports team.
