You may know Ed Asner from some of the many characters he’s lovingly played over the years, such as Lou Grant on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Santa Claus in Will Ferrell’s Elf, or as the voice of Carl in Pixar’s Up. Last night, Asner and his family competed on Celebrity Family Feud opposite Vicki Lawrence, and Asner had a real zinger of an answer for the question: “Name something a boy might give to a girl on their first date.” For once, it wasn’t even a loaded or sexually-charged question (flowers? candy?), but that didn’t stop old man Asner. He must have been a fun date back in the day.
