Enter The World Of ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ With This First Behind-The-Scenes Look

Ahead of its panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, AMC has released a behind-the-scenes look at the The Walking Dead spin-off, Fear the Walking Dead. From the short video, we learn that the show will be a “family drama” first and foremost, and we also get a feel of what the sets and locations of the series will look like. Producers Gale Anne Hurd, Robert Kirkman and Greg Nicotero all show up and provide comments, as does lead Kim Dickens.

What’s interesting to note is that Dickens says she’s been filming for four days and has yet to have any interaction with a walker. Does that mean that we’ll get some heavy narrative on the characters before the zombie epidemic rages out of control? With The Walking Dead, we were introduced to walkers pretty immediately. While four days of shooting without walkers doesn’t mean a whole lot — especially since film and TV shows are shot out of sequence — it does provide a little nugget that might give some insight into what we can expect from the beginning of the series. Check out the video above.
