Laura Ingraham Called Ariana Grande ‘Estupida’ On Fox News Because She Thought Ariana Was Hispanic

In the wake of Ariana Grande’s donut-licking, America-hating scandal that got her dropped by Major League Baseball and subsequently investigated by policeFox & Friends weighed yesterday in on the whole thing. Specifically, they invited nationally syndicated conservative talk show host Laura Ingraham on the show to give her two cents.

You can watch the video above, but just in case it gets pulled, I’ve taken the liberty of transcribing the entire beautiful rant for posterity:

Another spoiled, entitled pop princess who’s benefited so lucratively from being in this country, being an American, and yet when she doesn’t think anyone’s listening, she hates America. They’re all fat. They’re stupid. They don’t eat organic. They eat stuff like ramen noodles and mac and cheese.

Well, uh, you know, headline for Ariana Grande: Maybe you should re-read the lyrics to “Problem,” your big hit song last year that you recorded with Iggy Azalea, the Australian pop princess, and maybe that should be your new theme because, the last time I checked, those poor people who like to buy donuts also bought a lot of your stupid music. So maybe you should return that money, to the people who like, uh, jelly donuts, who also like Ariana Grande, “estupido.”

She immediately corrected herself to say “estupida” even though she was actually correct the first time, but that’s really neither here nor there because Ariana Grande is not Latina. According to her Wikipedia page, Grande is actually of Italian descent; half Sicilian and half Abruzzese, to be specific. Oh well, I’m sure it was just a totally honest mistake that definitely wasn’t intended to be racist in any way.*

* Note: “Stupid” actually does also translate to “stupido” in Italian, but being that Grande was born in America and is not first generation, we think it’s safe to assume the intention of Ingraham’s remarks.
