Looks like we got our time jump in this week’s True Detective. About two months after the big shootout, and nobody’s doing particularly great. Ani is cracking dick jokes at her harassment training, Woodrugh is bringing back ’50s era c-bombs, and Velcoro is really close to losing his son, and losing it on Semyon after the “didn’t kill the real rapist” reveal. With all that swirling around, the detectives are back together to find the real story behind Caspere’s death
While Dustin will be getting into all of that during his recap, I wanted to take a look at Velcoro interrogating Dr. Pitlor. As noted earlier, Velcoro can get the dirt when properly motivated, and, when it comes to his son, violence is usually where that motivation leads him.
