By most accounts, Thursday evening’s Fox News GOP Debate was a raging success in terms of satisfying the blowhard quota. Those who weren’t interested in politics still showed up to watch this crop of otherwise typical Republican candidates go toupee to toupee with Donald Trump, who couldn’t even commit to running on the GOP ticket.
It didn’t take long for Trump to go full Trump, and any real effort to discuss the issues resulted in a red-faced, pointlessly bragging, front-running candidate. Moderator Megyn Kelly scored most of the reactionary questions, but Chris Wallace didn’t fall down in his duties.
In the end, the GOP’s 10 leading candidates briefly touched upon several hard-hitting subjects. We heard their thoughts on immigration, abortion, the economy, education, and good ol’ Rosie O’Donnell. A lot of stuff went down at the debate, but Trump’s answers overwhelmed Twitter in sheer number of reactions. Not surprisingly, Ivanka Trump wholeheartedly supported her father:
