Watch The First Full Teaser For HBO’s ‘Vinyl’

On Wednesday, we got the first look at Vinyl, the new HBO show produced by Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger. We didn’t get to see any real action from the show, it was more of a mood setter, but at the time we were promised more coming soon. “Soon” has arrived quite quickly, because Thursday delivered a full teaser trailer for the show.

Vinyl stars Bobby Cannavale as Richie Finestra, the president of a struggling record label in ‘70s-era New York City. The show also stars Ray Romano, Olivia Wilde, Andrew Dice Clay, and, fittingly enough, Mick Jagger’s son. That’s quite the pedigree, but will the show be any good?

Based on this first teaser, the answer seems to be “Yes.” It’s a great trailer, energetic and frenetic, which is befitting a show that clearly is going to have a lot of cocaine in it. There’s also seemingly going to be some violence, a lot of rock music, and tremendous ‘70s fashions. It also looks impressive, which, considering that Scorsese directed the pilot, makes sense.

While Vinyl isn’t arriving until 2016, this trailer makes it seem worth getting excited for. It’s going to be sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll without the presence of Denis Leary. Everybody wins!
