As any fan of Review will tell you, there’s doesn’t seem to be anything that Andy Daly’s characher Forrest MacNeil won’t take on to review. But it turns out there is a line that will not be crossed. “The only thing all season long that I refused to do was to work with monkeys,” Daly remarked to Seth Meyers. “One time a person had their face removed by a chimpanzee. And that only really has to happen once for me to say ‘That’s it for me.’ Every other chimpanzee could be a total delight.” I suppose face removal is a valid fear.
While monkeys are off the table, sex stuff is not, be it last season’s orgy scene or this week’s attempt at joining the mile-high club. Daly also spoke on notes from the Comedy Central censors on “blurring and thrusting.” You may be surprised at what needs to be blurred.
