Season two of True Detective ended in a sprawling season finale that answered quite a few questions. We finally found out who was behind the crow’s mask, confirmed the identities of the kids in the pictures, and learned that faking suicides is a way to get ahead in Vinci. And that raid scene kicked ass. But then there was the rest of it, where we saw just how deep Vinci’s corruption goes, had Frank battle it out with his demons, and realized that Ray’s fate was somehow more predictable than the finale made it seem.
