Emilia Clarke is one fifth of the way toward an EGOTGQWOTY.
That’s Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony, GQ Woman of the Year, the last of which she took home last night at a ceremony at the Royal Opera House in London. While accepting the prestigious award, the Game of Thrones star, who isn’t bummed that Terminator Genisys bombed because she’s still so happy that Daenerys got the hell out of Meereen, said, “It’s a real privilege to be recognized among all these talented, handsome men.” She then added, “Yep, I’m going to turn my Tinder on now. I’m ‘Dragon Baby Mama,’ in case you’re wondering.”
She was, unfortunately, joking, but that didn’t stop a million would-be Daarios from checking, just in case. Not everyone’s so lucky as to fall in love with a body double after all.
The award was presented to her by Sam Claflin, who co-stars with Clarke in next year’s Me Before You. He also plays Finnick in the Hunger Games movies, and I imagine they spent most of their time on set arguing about whether a hundred tracker jackers could defeat one dragon.
