Tiny Rick Has Some Major Angst On This Week’s ‘Rick And Morty’

While the promos for this week’s Rick and Morty showed a happy Tiny Rick going to school with Summer and Morty, common sense should’ve dictated that there was going to be some melancholic overtones. The other storyline, however, remained a fun surprise, as “Jerry and Beth’s imaginings of themselves wreak havoc at couples counseling” might be difficult to edit into a promo. I know it was fun shoehorning it into this paragraph.

Speaking of which, Summer really helped us ease into the idea of Tiny Rick.

Despite his enthusiasm above, Rick ended up complying.

Meanwhile, Jerry and Beth had some off-Earth marriage counseling. One of the tactics used involves the couple making a subconscious imagining of their spouse.

Of course this went horribly wrong.

Also, it wasn’t making their marriage look any better.

Meanwhile, Tiny Rick was the most popular kid in school. Things were all great, and happy…

… except for the part where Rick was very subtly displaying his unhappiness.

With the help of Elliott Smith, Summer and Morty managed to get Rick to deal with his thoughts.

Back on Nuptia IV, Jerry realized he’s tougher than how Beth sees him…

… managed to change Beth’s perception…

… and ended up saving the day.

In the end, we learned that life isn’t forever, but marriage… also isn’t? Eh, whatever. We’ve got a stop gap on Jerry and Beth’s bickering, and Rick got to chop up some clones. That works for me.
